Uh, Stephan? You do realize that Rat’s the president in PBS now, and that he’s a satire of Herr Drumpf, right? By mentioning his name it seems to me that you imply forgetting of Rat being the President in the PBS universe.

What really impresses me about Pig’s escape is that he blew the balloon up himself. That means his own exhaled breath is lighter than air. He shouldn’t even need a balloon. He should just float away.

Are the pillows in Pig’s house made of cement?

I can’t take a trip right now. Please give Trump a dozen balloons and a big push for me.

Pig exhales helium?

Thank you Mr. Pastis. I’ve had a smile on my face today since I read this one. Pig not only has a drawer full of escape balloons, he has color choice, can inflate them himself and they not only float, they can lift him up as well.

I wanted to weep when I saw the strip today.It made me realize more fully, as art will, how deep the mess is that we’re in. Then I reread it and laughed; if Pig can do it, so can I, and I went along for the flight whistling my own tune of good cheer—not a care in the world, at least for a few minutes. Great strip!

Also reminds me of the last Sunday Calvin and Hobbes strip. Well done.

It has to be a Red Balloon, Goat. Be sure to get red!
