Seems like everybody is early today for the early opening of Dick Tracy. Go Comics readjusted their clock again.

Wouldn’t it be nice if she left Silver, and said good-bye to her criminal career?

Looks like Sprocket has found someone who can tickle her fancy….should be entertaining.

Am I the only one finding the fact that Adam brought shoes for his date to be, well, odd? :D

Still, for someone on the run, going as the date of the film’s screenwriter and dressed as the parody of the wife of the person hunting you is precarious at best.

First the hearts in her sunglasses and now she’s wearing shoes without protest? You sure we’re not in Midnite Mirror’s world?

At least they’re not ruby slippers.

It’s super-obvious to long-time fans but for newbies, I should point out that Tessie Tremorhart is based on Dick Tracy’s wife, whose maiden name is Tess Trueheart.

Susan really cleans up nice as"Tessie Tremorhart," and she readily accepts Adam’s gift of shoes! Wow.

Nothing Silver can do now, short of violence (and I don’t rule that out; he looked enraged when he saw that Sprocket had a date), will come between Susan and the new Adam (a combo Biblical-Frankenstein paronomasia there). “Lord help the mister who comes between me and my sister!” (Yeah, I’m bending the gender lines in the song, but you get the point.) Something dramatic is in the offing; if this were the Lyric Opera of Chicago instead of the Lyric Cinema of Tracyville, I might invoke The Phantom of the Opera, but it’s not and so I leave that to Leroux. Instead, I call upon Dick Tracy!

Maybe she figures if the police raid the place, she won’t be recognized in the costume and wearing shoes…

Us New Yorker’s endured yet another terrorist attack today. Multiple dead and Injured. Pray against the evil.

I’ve been working on my Midnite Mirror character list. It’s still confusing, even two years later! I’m hoping to post it tomorrow night.
