    When traffic is bad, etc., I always turn off the radio. As GWEEDO said, you can pay attention better.

    Unless you are a teenager wearing headphones. Then you turn up the volume to drown out the traffic noise and other drivers cussing at you.

    When I turn down radio, I can hear sirens better, workers yelling warnings, construction vehicles beeping as they back up, wife being back seat driver….

    My mother never used the rear view mirrors. Said she’d already been there and didn’t need to see it again!!!
