If Nate doesn’t like math that much, he should just scrap the idea of making a math puzzle… He should consider making a comic or a brain teaser.

I’m sure I’m not the only pedant who’s felt compelled to point out that sudoku has nothing to do with math, am I?

Sum Sudoku, Kakuro, Dot Kakuro, all are new variations on math puzzles. Nate could come up with an interesting variation like one of those.

This might be a shock to you Nate, but sudoku is a type of math

So this confirms it then. The subtraction joke was just a random joke for the beginning of the story arc.
