I can’t complain about the partisan comments in response to an openly political strip, so I am fine with letting people get the wrangling off their chests.
Sanderling75 has hit it on the head: outside of anarchic states (which have never been more than a few weeks or a couple month’s duration, and always bloody) people have all been political prisoners for at least tens of thousands of years. Only hermits escape that.

Theoretically, the comic conclusion is true, regardless of where one lives. It ain’t pretty, but it is true.
