I heard that singer Huey Lewis bought a tract of land for the protection of wildebeests. The headline read “Huey Lewis and the Gnus”.

I love these, and this was the best one yet. The anticipation is the best part. You can see all the clues coming, but no idea where it’s headed— like trying to figure out who did it in a murder mystery. And of course as always, truly excellent drawings.

I would love to be Native American but I’m not. Not one bit. I just love their culture.

Wait, why does Rat confront Stephan AFTER the strip? Doesn’t he read a script or something BEFORE?! If so, he shouldn’t be surprised or upset. Stephan really needs to fix all that.

That’s a long way to go for a terrible pun.

The most stupid ones have an elaborate buildup, it takes a long time to make a dumb pun, the simpler ones are more intelligent.

Here’s a seasonal one: “Rudolf the red-nosed reindeer” becomes “Rudolf the red knows rain dear”….you can probably write the lead up yourself. Full disclosure → I did not create this pun, may have been Stephan himself. Merry Christmas, happy holidays, peace and goodwill to all.

This might be Stephan’s worst pun one to date… and that’s saying a lot!

I’ve actually written my own pun on that part of the speech a few years ago. I remember writing it, but sadly not the pun itself..

“Many ears” and “many ears” sound the same when I say them.
