Put clean, chopped sprouts in a cast iron skillet with drippings from 2-3 pieces of bacon and saute over medium heat for ten minutes. Add butter, salt, pepper to taste and roast in oven 400 degrees until charred. Enjoy.
I didn’t like them as a kid nor do I like them as an adult. I loved spinach and many other veggies most kids would NOT eat so my mother was fine with those I did not like.
Even my DOGS would eat brussel sprouts if they were covered in panko breading and butter! Course everything tastes good with panko breading and butter!
Only if they are steamed just enough to open. And no cooked or steamed broccoli, spinach, cauliflower or asparagus, they induce projectile vomiting. FYI, broccoli is NOT a Chinese vegetable. Don’t be fooled.

There must be a vegetable Nelson likes on his plate (and in his stomach too).

“…_So
Plant a carrot,
Get a carrot,
Not a Brussels sprout.
That’s why I love vegetables.
You know what you’re about!_ "

Back when I was a kid in the 50s my mother made me eat BIG GREEN BOOGERS. She called them steamed Brussels sprouts, but I knew better.
I never forgave her.

My son loved cauliflower, until he went to school and learned from the other kids he wasn’t supposed to like veggies. Peer pressure starts early.

“Okay, who wants Brussels sprouts?” … “Good question.”

When GHWB said he refused to eat broccoli, his wife explained he actually loves that and he confused it with Brussels Sprouts.
I, of course, like both.
