Born to be wild!
A reference that was almost lost on not-so-young “girl,” as well….
The movie, I remember well.
The characters’ names, not so much.
I had a hunch…
but I still had to Google “Easy Rider” to help me “remember” that Wyatt and Billy, in that order,
were the characters played by Peter Fonda and Dennis Hopper.
My first thought had been Wyatt Earp and Billy the Kid….
but motorcycles were just a bit rare in their day.
I can believe Agnes and Trout watched Agnes’s grandmothers copy of Easy Rider and know who Wyatt and Billy are. But how in the world do they know about Montgomery Ward
Given the calamity about to come, one of them should be named “Jane”.
My son got a Montgomery Ward mini bike for Christmas in about 1975. He rode that thing around the farm till it fell apart.
How about Bonnie and Clod.
Thelma and Louise?
Mardi Gras is only 3 months away. Plenty of time to walk that thing down to New Orleans…
