Big Nate by Lincoln Peirce for December 01, 2017

Not a very funny one today. Nate didn’t try for long enough, so he came to the conclusion that he is “unmockable” too fast. Also, not a very creative word choice on Francis or Nate’s part, and Teddy had no role throughout the entire thing. We could have had just today’s strip without yesterday’s or Tuesday’s and the message would have been the same.

That was predictable, but of course tomorrow’s comic could be the best part. Maybe Francis and Teddy draw a comic mocking Nate, or maybe Nate has a change of heart. The possibilities are still there. :)

No one is perfect, Nate. If you can recognize your shortcomings, then you are smarter than most. If you can not, you need to improve your metacognition.

You know, I think it’s totally crazy that the Big Nate Comment Section has become its own world. Everything is taken so seriously, arguments turn into “wars,” and there’s an entire wikipedia about the thing. The Comment Section is now a little world, and we are the citizens.

Interesting arc

Is there nothing we can agree on? Back in the good days, the comment section barely had any trolls. There were NO comment wars, and people were very nice (most of the time). This world is so full of people hating on each other and jumping to conclusions. Please, please, don’t make things worse. The world is bad enough as it is, we don’t need to channel that over to the comment section. This should be a place of Big Nate. Don’t bring stuff that doesn’t have to do with this comic. I’m not pointing figures, believe me, but we just need to all calm down and try to keep the comment section around.

I wonder if Mr Pierce looks at these comments and just laughs to himself about our little wars and controversy’s. It’s like we have our own little world.
