It appears that our comic strip creators have actually been to New Orleans. Their depiction of the particular street corner with its establishments looks very much like a certain corner of Bourbon Street with which I am quite familiar (because my daughter works as a bartender there, not because I frequent the place otherwise).

lol, hoss, to be truthful, most of the locals stay away from bourbon street. we know where the drinks are cheaper :-)
