For those who don’t get the joke, one of a sauropod’s distinguishing characteristics is its extremely long neck. In other words, John’s checking out the wrong section of its neck because when a sauropod pulls a neck muscle, there’s a LOT of muscle to pull beyond the small area John is sitting on.
