You are partially correct, Radfish,’ It’s not a virus in the sense that it damages your computer. It’s adware that continually annoys you. Kinda like the spam here.

Hey, it’s job security. Besides, they’ve gotta put all those rats they’ve trapped during the day somewhere. What do you expect them to do? Exterminate them?

I agree with Radfish. It’s kind of like the Mob selling you protection from themselves.

Yeah. Only instead of rats I remember it being mice. There was also another one where they sprinkled ants around everywhere……..

And so, it’s come to this

yeah, radfish. that’s why i went linux. buy windows, then buy crud to fix the windows, firewall crud to protect the windows, virus ware, etc, etc. buy pay buy some more. ubuntu-linux is free, and immune to all that junk.
