Among other things, smoking is the #1 preventable cause of macular degeneration, an eye condition that destroys the central part of the retina. Those afflicted can no longer read or see anything directly. I think if they made more of that fact, fewer people would smoke.

Surprisingly, candy cigarettes are still available. Although I suspect her Mom wouldn’t even allow that.
A babysitter once let me put an unlit cigarette in my mouth. Even unlit, it was so disgusting that I never wanted to try that again.
