The peace sign is supposed to be two fingers raised to form a V. Ugly Crystal has three fingers raised forming a W. Does the W mean war? Or she just have a problem bending her thumb.
Ugly Crystal must be a fan of the ’60s (or else she is actually stuck there, somehow). But, like any teen, she likes to hang at the mall, under the pretext of “shopping,” whether she buys anything or not. Might she run into any other teen we know while there? —Possibly. How that would affect the plot is unclear to me. Maybe Honeymoon (e.g.) would pass news from the meeting to Pop-Pop?
