Sluggo: Your stove is broke?
Nancy: Yes---And I was going to cook some hot dogs. I'll see what I can do.
Sluggo: I solved it Sluggo---
Nancy: I cooked them with a CURLING IRON.
Alt Script 1- SLUGGO: The fish ain’t been bitin’ lately. They must be wise to my bait. 2- NANCY: I gotta an idea. 3- NANCY: Check this out… 4- I battered and fried the suckers. So even if the fish still don’t like ’em you probably will.
Dorm life in the 60’s rules were limited to coffee pot, iron, and popcorn popper. We got really creative with these. I used the bottom of the popper for a hot plate and my friends and I cooked some really good suppers. One made spaghetti in her coffee pot.
Back in the 60s, my parents had a gadget that cooked up to six hot dogs at once by putting both ends on spikes and running house current straight through them. (Google “Presto Hot Dogger” if you don’t believe me.)
