Ugly Crystal is either an award winning actress or she has really no idea that her Uncle Bribery hates the Tracy family.

I think Honeymoon will continue to just call her Crystal. They are now friends. Also, I believe that she doesn’t really know about her uncle Bribery’s occupation as a crime lord!

Looks to me like Honeymoon might have some questions to answer, and her main witness just left. Was this a set-up? That robber seemed too much of a coincidence.

Will Ugly Christine tell her uncle about the mall experience? Probably.

Ugly Crystal does do a weird peace sign most of the time.

Will Bribery’s downfall come through Ugly Crystal?

I called this! Here come the mall police to arrest Honey Moon!

Honeymoon, I hate to tell you, but it’s going to be tough for you to do quiet shopping anymore – unless it’s at a convention with cosplay in it!

Honeymoon’s left attenna has malfunctioned!

I hope Crystal and Honeymoon develop a genuine friendship, which should create real drama later in the strip.

Looks like very little effort was made in making Angie Dickerson appear like a real person.

Honeymoon: “Boy you ARE prepared, Crystal!” referring to those Krav Maga moves from the last panel of yesterday’s strip LOL

I can’t wait to see Pop-pop Tracy’s face when he drops his grand-daughter off at her new friends house for a play date.

Even if she wasn’t related to Dick Tracy, I can’t see how the police would have any trouble with Honeymoon taking down a man threatening to kill her and another teenager. If anything, she should get a medal for getting that violent fool off the streets.

To me, the BIG question is; they know where Bribery IS now, through T.Bolt.Why on earth don’t they go and ARREST a murderer, grand theft artist, and much more….isn’t that what law enforcement usually does?

It will be fun to see what part this episode and the new friendship between Honeymoon and Ugly Crystal play in the wider story. I could see Crystal double crossing Uncle Bribery and helping Honeymoon, say for example if the latter was kidnapped by Bribery and Crystal helped her escape. Crystal has some seriously evil influences in her life, and as things stand now, it seems inevitable she’ll head down a dark path. On the other hand, Mike and Joe are making her a sympathetic and even likable character in some ways, too. I doubt she knows the full extent of Bribery’s evil doing, but she must have some glimmer of it. It will be interesting to see if she ultimately breaks bad, or rejects her Uncle and throws in with Mysta and Honeymoon.

Ugly Crystal and her new friend, Honeymoon Tracy, seem to be parting on good terms. I guess Uncle Bribery has not yet indoctrinated Crystal (most people call her Ugly Crystal) with the belief that all Tracy’s are mortal enemies! That could be coming later. Or, maybe, Crystal’s friendship with Honeymoon will triumph over Bribery’s hatred.

Betimes, the Young Detective waxes bemused over the fate of her “quiet shopping” visit to the mall as the uniformed cops she has summoned hasten to the scene of the attempted armed robbery….

Honeymoon is looking older today. It’s a combination of Joe’s drawing and Charles’ inking. Shelley almost always manages to make her look younger, even with Joe’s pencils.
