I actually was a boy called Sue when I was an adolescent. My first girl friend was about 6 months younger than me and wasn’t allowed to call boys yet so she would call up and ask for Sue. My parents caught on quickly and teased me about it the next 2 years, even gave me the album with the song on it as a gag gift with the nametag reading “Sue”
