    The first two light years are free. After that, it’s a little over 293 billion dollars per light year.

    So to get from Earth to Alpha Centauri (the nearest star) will cost you about 700 billion dollars… and that’s assuming you don’t do a return trip. A round trip will cost you just under 2 trillion dollars in mileage costs alone.

    To shoe a horse it takes 4 shoes with 8 nails each, 32 in all. Now, if the blacksmith charges 1 cent for the first nail, 2 cents for the second and 4 cents for the third doubling the price for each nail.

    How much will you pay the blacksmith?
