A message from one of our space stations: "Oye Houston,we have a problem. Some fellow’s idea of “enough” Christmas lighting decorations is causing the telescope on our station to have problems taking pictures. I knew we should have got that upgrade to the old Polaroid One Step."
If you haven’t seen “Saving Grace” you’ve been missing a great movie (light drama). The brilliant light reminds me of the greenhouse… if you see the movie you will know what I mean.
In the early days of the development of the Jay Oil Fields in Jay, Florida, they flared off the produced hydrogen sulfide gas (putting tons of sulfates in the atmosphere, coincidentally).
The glow made it look like perpetual sunrise.
Amorous couples would go park around the flares at night. They were unconcerned by the fact that if the fire went out, they would be surrounded by poisonous gas. Jay teenagers are very brave.
[ Later, they captured the sulfur for assorted industrial uses. Once, I brought some home from a truck wreck and spill to play with.

It reminded me of a line from the movie “Inherit the Wind”
