We’re destroying the planet and yet we keep making babies. Have we all forgotten a basic rule of etiquette, that before we invite guests, we clean house?
Yup. I really like children, but only if they’re well cooked. I figure the best thing I ever did for my kids was to not have them. Consequently, I’m having a very peaceful, relaxing and well-funded retirement.
No. “…as miserable as I”. Shorted from “as I am”. You wouldn’t say, “as me am”. Unless, of course, you were shortening it from, “as me is”. Then it’s acceptable grammar.
You’re not ready for children if you’re asking some stranger at a bar or diner if you should have them. After a few drinks, before you become invisible, wisdom will overflow from the excess amount of alcohol in your bloodstream.
Over the years, many of my friends told me I was missing out by not having a passel of rugrats. I suspected from the very beginning that they were lying out of spite.
People that are not up to the challenge of raising a family.. should not have them.. encourage abortion or sponsor the pregnancy and subsequent adoption. Many.. of our current social problems are due to unwanted and resented pregnancies.
Today’s culture is all about #1.. and many times that does not involve the consequences or obligations.. of having children.
Here’s where we take the time to realize how important contraception is and why people shouldn’t have to fight tooth and nail to access reliable and REASONABLY PRICED birth control methods.

I guess she wants company.

Kids are company. Ergo, not only does misery love company, but company is misery.

I think you mean “The Gays.” At least they won’t be making any new babies.

Before one moves beyond the “thinking” stage, they ought to consider there’s a huge assumption behind their wish of “having.”

With kids they’re your responsibility for long term. Not like the knuckleheads that get a dog then dog it 6 months later.

I agree with Tripwire45,Grandkids are the best!! My job is to fill them full of chocolate, buy the noisiest toys I can find, then hand them back!

If I had known grandchildren were so great, I would have had them first.

Men who wear green tees and take advice from strange women in bars deserve what they get, or beget!
I’m in the Kids Only at a Distance, and “all kids should not be born until 7 years old” camps….

I never had kids. Not for environmental reasons, but because I just wouldn’t want to chance the poor little buggers looking like me.
