“What’s to-day, my fine fellow?” said Scrooge.“To-day!” replied the boy. “Why, Christmas Day.”“It’s Christmas Day!” said Scrooge to himself. “I haven’t missed it.”
I can see that Joe is doing the inking this week. He uses a bit heavier lines than Shelley. A very relaxing scene today before the action heats up with the scheming Mr. Bribery’s been doing.
Some forced dating here: The flat screen television! I mention this because of the steam locomotive used during the Sweatbox story and the ‘70s and ’80s era squad cars we’ve seen in more recent stories…
I read that originally in 1965 the network wanted to cut out the religious message at the end of Charlie Brown Christmas. Fortunately Charles Schulz stood his ground. Merry Christmas, everyone!
“A Charlie Brown Christmas” is truly a modern classic. I’m glad to see the Tracy family watching it together—Joe (so rarely seen!), Tess, Dick, and Bonnie Braids (not seen much, either)….
Nonetheless, to play the Grinch, this is just Holiday Mood filler until the Wicked Uncle of Tracyville brings his version of “a gift” to the good citizens. And let us not forget that Uncle Bribery has his cyber-henchman, Matty Squared, on the loose, potentially able to bollix up electronic systems of all sorts in Tracyville.
Merry Christmas all. I have kept quiet about this until announcements were officially made. My father passed away on December 5th (Shelley’s birthday). I was notified by Shelley when I got home from work shortly after 4:00pm. He passed around 3:30pm quickly with my sister and mom by his side. Dad had been fighting cancer for a couple of years and eventually lost his battle. This is my first Christmas without my hero. My sister put together this video of Christmas day pictures of my dad, If you want feel free to watch it. You will get a chance to see Shelley, myself, our children, and my family.
