I guess Anyface is right about Moon Gov transmitting to Honeymoon. He is probably overloading Honeymoon’s circuits.

It looks like the Moon Gov and Posie are making Honeymoon as the bait to lure Mysta. If they can’t go to Mysta at Smith Industries then they will have to make Mysta come to them.

Honeymoon’s new friend, Crystal, springs up to help her in her time of need. I think that’s significant.

In the last panel it looks like the Moon Governor is concerned about Honeymoon. Perhaps he wasn’t expecting such a violent reaction to his granddaughter by whatever he is doing.

Honeymoon is on their network just as Mysta Chimera is. But it seems to not be coming in right. And its giving her pain and dizziness.

A strange white headed creature? Strange people with antennae? Just wait till the ancient astronaut theorists get to know about this!

Does the Moon Governor even know about how Honeymoon has matured?

It is possible that the Moon Governor’s “transmissions” are involuntary. It might just a normal function that Honeymoon can’t handle.

I guess the governor and Posie are supposed to be in the bookstore “browsing”, although the panel requires them to be just outside it.

“A Speculation of Lunarian History”

They were once human. Genetically Engineered to survive most any catastrophe that should befall them. I would suggest that the global empire maybe named “Ramachandra” had a

global “civil” war. Much genetic tinkering was going on. It was when the caldera under ≈ 10,000 ft Mount Toba exploded on Sumatra that put the hurt on that highly technical human culture about 70,000 years ago. The destruction was equal to a large meteorite strike. If you read the book or saw the movie, “The Road” it would be like that where animals and plants are dying. Humans were reduced to just 6,000 individuals in Mother Africa. Tigers hit a bottleneck and almost became extinct because of it.

And yet just 20,000 years later humans migrated out again for a second time. Why we humans are so much closer genetically that previously expected.

Humans have been around at least 250,000 years.

Where the mountain was now is a lake 60 miles long, 20 miles wide and a mile deep in Indonesia.

This shopping mall has both a book store & a record store. This mall must exist in 1985.

Moon Governor’s short-range signal is just way too strong for the part-human and not yet fully matured Honeymoon Tracy. Did he notice her and recognize her for having Lunarian ancestry? If he did, will he reveal that to Posie; to her? Or will he play it close to the tunic and just continue to observe and soak up intel for a while longer? I am guessing he will keep it on the Down Low for now….

The Moon governor’s appearance has to be (I hope) for our reader’s benefit. In real life his horns and eyes would attract attention that even Honeymoon would notice, so in real life he would dress more like Posie, with a hat that conceals his horns, and dark mirrored glasses.
