Dear Lila Readers: Another Sunday Intro Panel Contest is up on my blog. Be the first to guess the correct answer and win a $20 Starbucks Gift Card. Happy Friday, everyone! – John
That’s standard lingo for teachers these days. I know – my wife’s a teacher. Sometimes she tells me about her day, and I have to ask her to translate it into English …
The idea of “socialization” like this is a real pet-peeve for me. It’s utterly ridiculous. Get Annie out of that mind-numbing, soul & spirit draining, cartoon covered excuse for daycare NOW!!! Send her to the Warhol school instead, her rich daddies can help foot the bill.
When I was taking education courses for my Masters, I would start out six weeks behind. It took that long to learn the language. Computers were a distant second.

Children in Annie’s position tend to grow up faster then other kids. The orphan part more so then the leukemia.

Has she been socialized? Does the day-care lady think that Annie is a poodle perchance?
Why not ask if she has many friends her own age?

Dizzyspin, I was thinking exactly the same. Who on Earth asks if a child was “socialised”? She’s not an animal.
