The National Petroleum Reserve is just to the west of the refuge, and hardly developed. The most sensitive and irreplaceable part of the refuge is exactly where they want to destroy the land for a limited supply of oil. It’s all about destruction for simple greed. Life doesn’t matter to them, not even the life of the planet, or even their own posterity.
Probably not. They lose money when they lose oil due to oil spills or leaks. We have a number of oil wells across the river in Jay, FL and you would barely know they were there.
Once you lose your self-respect it easy to have no respect for your children and grandchildren and the planet we live on. It’s the only one that we know of that sustain us … if we take care of it.
If they keep destroying our planet even Trump’s 30% voter base will start to realize the damage that the repubs are doing. If they destroy this world, we have no place else to go. Our children will be stuck on a dying world because of the results of no restrictions on businesses who only smash-and-grab for-profit. Hopefully, the reality will become so evident that it will galvanize the American public to vote out the bought and paid for politicians who are trying to ruin our country for money, for their worship of Mammon.

If you want an idea of how massively destructive oil and gas development is on the surface of the land, fly over Farmington N.M. And note the miles of roads, drill pads, and other damage done to the surface resources. This is what they want the most critical land in the ANWR to look like. Yes, pipelines are safer than rail or truck transport, like heroin is safer than Fentanyl.
