Why does everyone have this idiotic misconception linked to “Reefer Madness” about what cannabis does? Great medicine, and I do have some reservations about “recreational” use, but this happens to drunks, not stoners.

I don’t do weed, and don’t drink, but know plenty of people who do both. Drunks have very impaired judgement and little control of their bodies, causing them to be dangerous to other people, especially if their lack of judgement convinces them to drive, speak or anything else remotely necessary in daily existence. The most dangerous thing I have ever seen a person high on grass do in a car is fall asleep in the back seat. If anything should be illegal, you could make a lot better case for booze than for grass.

It may be legal in many states, including my own state (only for medical purposes) but it is still illegal at the federal level and it seems that AG Jeff Sessions has decided it’s time to go into full enforcement mode in the states that have made it legal. I can foresee how this insanity could cause a major clash between Federal and Local law enforcement agencies. Ought to be interesting to watch, if you like seeing the country tearing itself apart at the seams.

That must have been some good pot. It is certainly safer than the legal cigarettes and alcohol all the other states have.

I remember the 70s clearly, and this bit wasn’t funny when Cheech & Chong were doing it, either.

I am a big fan of mood altering substances and personal accountability vs. prohibition and I think this is hilarious. there is definitely some stuff out there these days that will make your forget what a line is for or how you got there in the first place. Moderation in all things works the best.

The Trump administration’s special talent is to sow uncertainty and fear. They have been working to make ACA unstable by stopping subsidies and eliminating individual mandate. They want to re-start the stupid fight against mj; the growers, dispensaries, etc. have already had problems with banking and financing. Trump keeps poking North Korea, seeming like he WANTS to start a nuclear war. The media is at least partially to blame for the last one because far too many in the media called him “presidential” and idiot Brian Williams said “beautiful, beautiful bombs” when Trump bombed the Syrian airstrip (after warning Russia first). Funny how the media wasn’t “fake” then.

Sen. Cory Gardner, R.-Colo., on Thursday threatened to block all nominees to Justice Department posts in response to Attorney General Jeff Sessions’s decision to end Obama-era policies that let legal marijuana thrive. Gardner also warned that the looming Justice Department announcement would make things harder for 2018 Republican candidates in states where pot is legal.

“We’ll give Jeff Sessions our legal pot,” Colorado Senate Democrats wrote on Twitter, “when he pries it from our warm, extremely interesting to look at hands.”
