How can Wilmer evict Corky when Pert gave him the deed to the diner? Unless Wilmer sold the land the diner sits on and that’s what he means by relocated.
Part of this story doesn’t make sense to me. Wilmer will use a term two days from now (originally 1/30/07) that indicates that the land will be seized no matter what. Yet, later on when the ownership is proven otherwise, Eminent Domain is no longer a factor. My only guess is that it was figured that the readers would forget that E.D. was ever mentioned.
