Well, Tony, I try to be…..

sometimes circumstances make it hard, but I try to believe in positive outcomes,

and to not listen to negative people.

I don’t think Pete’s really being a pessimist here, though…

I mean, you should know, since you wrote it!

I think he’s just saying that stuff to give Spork a much-needed kick in the pants…

or as my Dad always promised, a “potch in tuchus”

a smack on the bottom….. to get him going.

That boy would wait 10 months of Sundays.

mooching off relatives, cooling his heels,

waiting for his idea of the perfect job to just fall in his lap.

Pete’s just reminding him…. it ain’t gonna get better, so grab something while you can….

before I remove your lazy …um…. behind…. from my couch, and my house.

In the Middle Ages (not in Pete’s and Mag’s ones; the other one!), Spork’s overdeveloped honesty would have gotten him the perfect job: Court Jester.
