The Woman is simultaneously protecting Elvis from unwanted physical contact and the Baby from sharp kitty claws. The whole gang is lucky to have her.

Love The Woman protecting both Elvis and Baby from each other. When I got mobile and grabby, our younger cat Smoke wanted NOTHING to do with me. I took the hint at hisses, though, so the claws never had to come out (that I’m aware of). Mamacat Diana didn’t have as much of a problem, so I learned how to be a properly behaved young cat servant. The Baby’s going to need a few lessons from the felines on how much hugging is good for each cat, here’s hoping for few hisses and tears.

Why are kitties and babies such an adorable combination? My heart just melted. <3

My toddler wants nothing more in the world than to rest her face tenderly on the kitty’s soft fur. Kitty is less than thrilled.

Love the reactions. Puck is not sure how he feels, Lupin is loving it, and Elvis is Elvis.

Aw! A bit disappointed.. I wanted to see the outcome of Lupin’s gravity test, but I guess the footage was too gruesome for public broadcasting. Poor Elvis, lol, nope you’re definitely not safe from the clutches of Baby. However, Lupin and Puck seem to be enjoying the free hugs. :-)

Looks like Elvis will be practicing hugs too – on the Woman in order to avoid the Baby’s hugs. Come on Elvis, it’s not so bad – he’s a gentle baby clearly :)

Poor Elvis was already traumatized when the Toddler went mobile. Now this.

Puck is doing the one-armed kitty hold off so I don’t think he’s quite on board with this yet. But he looks willing to be convinced.

Meanwhile, Lupin is enjoying his double chin scratching.

Elvis does not do well with the new or the unexpected. In the beginning it was just Elvis and the woman. I’m not sure who came next, but he had to deal with the intrusion of the man and Puck, then Lupin, that cat in the backyard, the baby, the upstairs cats, the vacuum, the intruder! It’s not easy being Elvis.

And . . . Elvis is rescued just in time!

OMC, this strip is now the leader in my all time cutest episode list. Too adorable how they all react in character.

Bonus…the awful cucumber craze. I do hope that has run its course and disappeared in real life.

My bonus is the cat clickbait!

I gotta say kitty hugs are pretty great. I can’t forget large dog hugs either because the boys won’t let me. But my kitties give pretty special hugs and I’m sure everyone else’s kitties give their pet parents special hugs too. Except LadyKat. YumYum I don’t think goes for that too much she bestows her blessings differently.

“Little man” I LOVE that! When my son was still high chair age we’d go out to breakfast sometimes. We’d split something like a Denny’s All American, and I would tell the waitress what I would have and that “my short friend” and I would share. sigh…such good days!

There are cats that love to get petted. Give them your hand, and some will lick it clean for you. And then there are those that don’t. Try to pet em and they try to claw you. Then there are some crazy ones (like “our” cat) who like to be petted, but try to scratch and bite when they suddenly change their mind as per their whim. And not only cats, it’s the same thing for all creatures. Every creature is different, and has it’s own personality.

Just found out that my Elvis-lookalike has cancer. I’m devastated. He’s the kitty that likes to give hugs – don’t know what I am going to do without them.
