Lupin is being a little passive aggressive in that last panel. And smug. And drinking from his heart mug. Probably Dunn brand cocoa – rich and chocolatey.

Elvis’s twitching tail of exasperation in panel one followed by Lupin’s paw of denial in panel two. Elvis’s self righteous snark then leads to Lupin’s Ears of Anger and Tail of Rage.

Ha ha, Lupin’s face in panel 2 is priceless :). And he does actually have a point in the last panel though Elvis of course is deeply offended

You’d think Lupin would know the name of the network he’s an anchorcat for…

For those wondering or who don’t feel like checking archival comments, Georgia has said that it’s Cat Network News on the breakingcatnews.com website. Don’t know if she’s actually said it here, and my brain is refusing to cooperate in remembering those little details that it usually retains so well about if it’s appeared in the actual strip (which might have something to do with 1:30 AM…).

I always say “BCN news”, aka, “Breaking Cat News news”. You’re not alone, Lupin!

Elvis isn’t playing with them. In a spirit of self-sacrifice, he’s gathering them together to protect his fellow beings from their creepy, bat-wing, crinkling noise.

Ooohhhhh!! I love the way Lupin puts Elvis in his place so nonchalantly. His eyelids in panel 2! I can’t believe he dared to call Mommy’s Special Boy a jerk!! A ballsy move (pardon my French)!

Lupin, Lupin, Lupin. Remember the rule? Elvis is always right. And he is definitely right about the redundancy, so there. :P

Lupin, that wasn’t very nice! Elvis is a lot of things, but I don’t think he’s a jerk.

Good morning and a happy Thursday to all BCN orbsters and their orbabies. I am loving the little hearts decorating Lupin’s news desk, his expression of mild disdain in the second panel and the nonchalance in the last panel. We got some very good news yesterday, Paul does not need surgery on his shoulder. There is a small accumulation of fluid rather than the tear our family doctor stated was there. He is going to get another cortisone shot administered by the specialist, and will then start “resistance physiotherapy” (whatever that means). It certainly made our day.

How soon before the bopping starts?

On other news, it looks like GO Comics has dropped the extra comic at the bottom of the page. Good move. It was distracting and annoying, especially here where you really don’t want to read out of sequence.

I’m with Lupin on this one. Elvis is out of line… and the only one playing with wrappers.

Ooo! Panel 3 – Lupin’s little ears are full 180! Apparently you don’t dis the anchorcat!

No one casts shade with quite the panache that Lupin does. I adore how Georgia expresses the different personalities of all the cats and the other animals too.

Panel 4 has a very good portrayal of defensive cat reaction – ears go back and tail goes up – poof.

Elvis is just plain mischievous.

BCN runs in the online edition, and I am gently prodding to get it moved to print.

Always thought “CN” stood for “Cat News”, not “Cat Network”. Makes sense.
