    I’m afraid that what with Garfield’s weight and the amount of physical exercise he gets, now is about the last moment he would be able to climb to the top of that tree. Good thing (for the little tree) that he doesn’t know it himself.

    I couldn’t quite figure out whether Garfield was making a promise or a threat. However, I “wood” like to “branch” out a bit and look at the big picture. Take heart, little sapling, this could be the beginning of a “budding” new friendship!
