Funny, I was never that way when I was her age. Yes, I sat down by a puddle to make mud pies and only got my hands and arms dirty but this puddle splashing, never. My sons, either. Makes me wonder if children actually stomp around in water puddles?
I have fond memories of puddle stomping in my youth. My daughter also puddle stomped, as did my grandson, and the tradition continues with my great-granddaughter.
Its encouraging to see a few people out there who know a little about Latin. I studied Latin in High School but didn’t like it much but it paid off later; in college and beyond.
I used to do as a kid when i had my rain boots on. Recently, my husband and I were watching the little girl across the street. She had boots on and was stomping away. She loved it.
Ah! A favorite childhood activity! The final time was well past the rest. During a high school trip to the World’s Fair my best friend and I saw a great puddle and ripped off our shoes and splashed. Carla, another classmate joined in. Strangely enough the teen boys thought it was great and the three of us wound up with many passes from strangers.

This joke was taken from one of Julius Caesar’s lesser known quotes: Veni. Vidi. Et misit se in luto.

I stomped through a few mud puddles myself, yesterday – by accident.
