I’m just the opposite. I separate them into colours, and count them, then eat the “extras” until I have the same number of each colour. Then one at a time til they’re gone. (Yeah I have OCD)
No brown M&Ms! (In the eighties, Van Halen included a clause in their contract requiring a bowl of M&Ms in their dressing room that had had the brown M&Ms removed. According to David Lee Roth, the clause was included to ensure compliance with the technical specs of the contract.)
He’s got the problem, but she’s the one who STUDIES how he EATS and then CRITIQUES it?!? She’s just a hateful biddy, always in pursuit of confirmation of her biases (him bad, her good). :-/
She probably eats all her food at the same time too. I eat one thing at a time. Have ever since first grade. Start with what I like least while I’m still hungry. You don’t get to looking like this by being picky.
I miss the tan ones. They went away when they added blue to the mix. And there were never tan peanut M&Ms. And when they set up a thing where you could order custom colors and combinations (with a minimum order of forty pounds in lots of ten pounds of one color), they had five different shades of green among the available colors, but no tan.
Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue then Brown. Never two of the same color in a row. Not because I’m obsessive-compulsive but just to keep my mind sharp.
I do the same thing! I know it’s probably in my head, but somehow the brown M&Ms taste more chocolatey to me. So I save those for last. Blue ones for next to last because I like that best as far as color.
You guys are all crazy! All the colors taste the same. I’m surprised some of you have time to eat them at all……with all the separating and counting. I don’t have that much patience – I mean it’s CHOCOLATE!!
Makes me think of Lonnie Donegan’s “does your chewing gum lose its flavour” tune as applied to the Smarties commercial, “when you eat your Smarties, do you eat the red ones last?”
I’ll eat M&Ms like I’m trying to purify uranium. Pick a color, like red, then pick any two at random. If either are red, they get saved in a new pile. If not, they get eaten. I end up with a pile that’s mostly red. Repeat the process until they’re either all red or there’s just one stray odd color. I usually don’t have the patience to wait that long, though.
I eat brown, tan, and yellow first – because they don’t taste as good – then green, red, blue and finally orange. That leaves the best tasting ones for last. :D

Apparently, someone did not want the job of coloring all those M&M’s.

If the conversation were about Skittles, it’s starting to remind me of a 1989 commercial thereof. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mqTMaWctsdE

Separating them into colors and then eating them in some applied order is most ofthe fun of eating M&M’s (or Skittles) !

Is there any reason that this particular strip is not colored in?

For a short time there were coffee M&M’s, they were fantastic while they lasted and no, didn’t matter which color they were.
Jack12one over 6 years ago
I don’t bother with the color, I just eat them.

My ex complained about my eating one color at a time, just because she liked to complain about everything. I emphasize “ex”.

I always eat the red ones first and leave the blue until last. I like to pretend it’s congress, so I’d say that’s the ultimate M&M bigotry.

M&Ms all tasted the same regardless of color. Necco Wafers of many colors tasted very different. Always liked the purple ones!
