Is Teresa trying to prepare us for some bad news about Frog Applause? On second thought, no, she isn’t. That would be horribly cruel.

The black owl says both: “Bad news is not my thing.” and “It’s not my thing either.” Or is it coming from an owl hiding behind the black owl? The balloon string is vague on this matter, and I’m not going to rest until I find the answer. Maybe it’s just that Teresa was out late last night. I’ve had Saturday mornings like this, and I sympathize.

They always looked like the tops of picket fenceposts to me. As to the issue of why there would be two mismatched sets of only two posts each, I can only refer back to Kliban, who identified the singular of fence as “fent.”
