Heart: sheesh! So much for an easy day! first a stupid pop quiz, then he dumps a buttload of homework on us! a substitute! Dean: Yeah, I guess mr. basner knew he was going to be absent and really planned out the school day. heart: Right. mr. basner was prepared for a substitute teacher and made sure we wouldn't fall behind in our work. who saw that coming?

I was figuring that the substitute was getting revenge for what happened last time (hiding the assignment book/etc).

A long time ago I did some substitute teaching. Some days it was filling in for a teacher with an emergency, and you did the best you could interpreting lesson plans. Then there were the days the teacher had planned to be gone, and had things ready. My daughter also subbed. The most disappointed kids were the kids in Spanish who figured a sub meant a free day. She had four years of college Spanish and had spent two years in South America.

heh ive had subs look at the lesson plan and say " I’m not going to go through all this crap " then sent an aide and me to the library and we watched popeye cartoons all day

erm and we found a popeye collection and that’s what we watched all day and when the normal teacher came back and found out we didn’t do anything on the plan she said she wasnt surprised and really didn’t expect him too but she didn’t want ti getting around that she didn’t have lesson plans made cause sometimes the principals would fill in if they didn’t have subs ……
