It’s like checking your own groceries - a pain if you have mostly produce as I do- besides, it is pleasant to have a real person to say a few words with (especially if you live alone).
When my mom retired from nursing, she did volunteer work at our local library. She loved it! And it made her feel useful, besides babysitting her prides and joys, my 2 sons! But she said, “I won’t babysit on my 2 library days.” Man, I miss my mom!

They got those in my library, which only means the Mrs Whipples have more time to help with special inquiries and such.
