Rockin’ Robin is a bit camera shy. I think Tommy’s get more of a response out of the fuzzy mustaches. I just want to take this time to thank all of you who gave me such encouragement yesterday with your own life stories of dealing with office bullies, etc. ((((((((((((((((((Orbsters))))))))))))))) I feel so much better.. I think I can face work today even if it is Friday the 13th.
I wish Dean would take the Tommy approach with birds especially the suicidal Juncos. Don’t know why they keep coming onto the back deck but I always have to check for them now or the Ginger Menace goes crazy trying to catch them
Good morning and happy Friday 13th, orbsters and orbabies! Paul’s exploratory work went well yesterday. No obvious signs of cancer were found, although the doctor did do biopsies at various sites. The only downside is that, somehow, his tongue got badly scraped and is very sore. His throat is also sore, obviously, from having all sorts of things stuck down it. Now we wait for the results of the various biopsies and our referral to the oncologist in Toronto.
Goooooood morning BCN! Is anyone else finally getting some warmth & sunshine? I so wish you all could experience the last 3 days that we’ve had in my corner of Hoosierland! Sunny, mid 70’s & almost perfect humidity! Sure, it’ll change soon, but I hope what we have will bless other orbsters very soon! Love from the Hoosier heartland! :-D
I’ve seen a bird that annoyed just once, when I came out my patio door during mating season to discover a pair of them that had just decided to start building a nest above the arcadia door.
Instead of flying away altogether, the two of them flew about twenty feet away to another overhang, and then perched there, bitching at me the entire time I remained in view.
I like how the robin first just hops away and when Tommy keeps at him finally flies away. This is what the robins I come across when I am walking often do if they are in my path. When I get to close they will hope a ways away, it seems almost always in the direction I am going so it looks to them like I am chasing them, and then eventually they will just fly off.

Looks as if Robin doesn’t want to be interviewed.

Tommy should know better than to try and interview angry birds.

Birds have their own news channel. Nothing but tweets.

It takes a hundred Robins to make a Spring. I start counting on the Vernal Equinox.

This morning, i got rain.
Spring rain is differentiated here by the temperature of the rain.
We have cool rain instead of cold rain, so it must be spring.
PNWers will know what i’m talking about.

by the look of the bird’s face in panel 3, he does not appreciate being hounded by the media!

Tommy is a dedicated reporter. And a cutie at that.

Robin, who looks quite annoyed in panel 3, quite sensibly prefers to stay away from cats. Even Tommy.

Put some salt on his tail, and he won’t fly away. Then you can have your interview, and when it’s done…just brush the salt off :)

I wonder what Elvis would say about this…especially considering his reaction to “Okay…I’m going to tweet this.”
