Comics use exaggeration to prove a point! But here the receipt is not half as long as in reality!

CVS is notorious for this. I buy one lipstick and I get 2 feet of paper receipt…half of which are coupons for things I will never buy.

My grocer just started sending electronic receipts….along with giving me a paper one.

Home Depot has been doing it for years.

Office supply chains that sell reams and reams of paper offer a paperless receipt.

In Quebec and Ontario milk comes in bags

When I buy a gallon of milk with a built in handle the clerk asks me if I want it in a plastic bag (that has a handle). :P

More states need to charge for bags – the states that do charge for them have less trash floating around the countryside…

On my last trip to the grocery store, I gave the checker two coupons, and got the same two coupons back, with updated dates! So… paper to get me to buy what I’m already buying… ☺

I only get a receipt that long from a drugstore. My supermarket receipt is just the purchases and how much I will save per gallon on gas at a certain convenience store. But, I do have a long receipt when I buy groceries each month.
