It’s just a flashback to show how Luann reacted in her first crush. The boy was too young to even know what desire was, whether with her or with any other girl. Her hormones were rushing ahead, and that is not unusual in pre-teens. Fay is in the same boat, she is all in a major crush over Axel, who does not seem to notice she is all over him like a cheap suit, or would like to be. Luann might, and I say might be able to give her some wisdom, but those hormones, and maturity differences between boys and girls pre-teens are in play. I think he does like her though, not like diffident Aaron was with Luann, with no clue, but Axel is too shy to do anything about it. There I for once get in an early comment!!
So, given that Aaron Hill has had years to develop into a completely different person from what Luann might expect, if he did show up again, what radical change could the cartoonists milk for the most drama?
It’s nice to see that Luann remembers and is willing to share the (largely) one-sidedness of the whole Arron Hill crush. It’s a sign that she learned from it… and is able to see it in perspective.
I dunno…Aaron was always pretty straight forward about his lack of interest in Luann, to the point of telling her he wasn’t into girls with low self esteem (what ever that means). I doubt Luann has learned much as she’s still living at home, studying for a pretty dead end teaching job and freaking out over people with the confidence to model. Tiff basically had to be written as depresssed, lonesome and finnaly out of the strip to make Luann look appealing. Not super impressed. Luann kind of remindes me of the teachers I had that spent more time telling me how to dress to not elicit “negative attention” then lecturing on the subject matter. Most girls are aware how biased that is now. Luann may just be a product of her generation that valued boys more then an education. Either way, Faye can find a way better role model.
Sadly, Luann’s efforts in this instance in the past were unfruitful. I am at a loss to guess where this flashback series is heading at the moment. I will have to simply wait and see where Greg is planning to lead us.
I am not fond of Aaron and hope he is not returning.
@PIPETOBACCO: Often as grow older, we are relieved that crushes were not reciprocated. This would be a nice insight for Luann. But I think this is more a nostalgia cruise for Greg.

Just ask Aaron if he can see that bug between your teeth that you are pointing at.

He did more than that to notice you, Luann! Remember the later years?

When back to the past Aaron Hill is sent.

Luann you sound desperate, the only reason Aaron notice you is because you called him a idiot.

Yes, Aaron Hill noticed she was a crazy woman.

Why is Luann acting like she didn’t have Aaron, Miguel and Gunther eating out of her hand at some point

Aaron: “Uh, Mr. Fogarty? Luann is stalking me! It’s creepin’ me out, man”
Luann, (borrowing those little ghosts from ‘Family Circus’): “WHAT?! ‘Ida Know’! … ‘Not Me’!!” ;)

Frankly, I don’t know what Aaron’s “problem” is with Luann in today’s flashback.
I mean she’s shown him categorically that she has Great Teeth!

OK, if (as Team Evans insists) Aaron Hill is not returning to the story, then why are we in flashback mode? Or is a dramatic return in the works?
