Just seemed like yesterday I was reading his 22nd anniversary/birthday book.

I will never understand people’s (or, in this case, cats’) obsession with not wanting to admit their age.

The first if not one of the first comic strips I read in the funny papers back in the early 90s. And read his books in a NY public library many years ago. Watched the cartoon “Garfield & Friends” as a kid. Then started reading them online in March 2010. And still love the strip to this very day. Happy 40th birthday, buddy! Here’s to 40 more. And thank you, Mr. Jim Davis for creating such an awesome, lovable, cool cat.
