“So” is perfectly reasonable when used in the sense of “therefore.” On the other hand, what isn’t reasonable is a compulsive use of “like” as an antecedent when fondness or similarity is nowhere within sight.
I admit I can’t stand the “so” at the start of every sentence. But I also recognize that each generation has these linguistic annoyances. Just gotta go with it.
