Breaking Cat News… well, now they’re BROKEN!

I am afraid I don’t understand.

Pucky was just about to do a CM Punk-style “pipe bomb” promo!

Until that idiotic reporter Elvis and his doofus sidekick Lupin cut him off!

OH NO! The vacuum cleaner is still on, but Elvis thinks he’s killed it. And they’ve lost their communication. Lupin is doomed. The vacuum will crush him in its monstrous coils, and then return to its lair, where it will finish off Puck. And then it will start hunting down Elvis. The BCN team is doomed. Goodbye boys, we’ll miss you.

Well that didn’t go according to Lupin’s chart.

Worst of all, the teleprompter went out.

Did Elvis just short out the entire Pink House? And probably poof himself into next week.

Umm, Elvis? I think that was the cord to the station (or at least to the sound equipment), not to the vacuum cleaner. I think we need a “Technical Difficulties” sign now.

Back in the analog days, right in the middle of my favorite show, “Please stand by, we are experiencing technical difficulties.” Forty minutes or so later, the broadcast would resume, but my show was over! This was, of course, long before DVRs or even VCRs. Just had to hope it would be rerun some day.

Puck knows how to sign, maybe he can try that? Assuming we still have video and teleprompter feed, that is.

Puck, just slap the mic against your other paw a few times. If that doesn’t work, then knock it against the wall.

Puck – ::facepaw:: “Oh for Cat’s sake …”

It looks like Elvis bit into a life wire and Puck’s expressions look like Elvis may have knocked himself out – I hope to Cat it’s not worse than that. This is scary.

Good morning and happy Hump Day, orbsters and orbabies! Paul get his hearing aids this morning, so hopefully we will no longer be blasting the neighbourhood with the TV, especially now that it is getting warmer and we are beginning to open windows.

I definitely think Elvis pulled and bit the wrong cord, and now the boys have no mics or teleprompter. Pucky, as gentle as he is, is now probably cussing Elvis out big time.

Oh my Cat! Pucky in the last panel is my spirit animal! I swear I experience that exact moment at least 10 times a day.

As Sue Ellen said back when the plan was made, “What could possibly go wrong?”

I think Lupin’s chart forgot one important detail, make sure it is the cord to the vacuum cleaner that you pull and bit.

OH MY CAT!

Nobody has thought about Lupin, last we saw him, he was wrapped up in the vacuum’s cord. Will Lupin get loose, will anyone come to his aid? Will this get resolved before I have a breakdown?

Wrong cord. Those are some serious choppers, Elvis.

Spoiler alert!

Elvis accidentally pulled the plug on the news feed! The next comic will likely be just a kitty test pattern.

When planning a kitty caper you must at least send the smart one to recon and pull off the caper. In this case bite the correct wire in two. Usually it is the dumb one that acts as a distraction because they aren’t smart enough to know any better. It kind of a roll reversal but Elvis isn’t really dumb just testy and dim at times.

“You’ve got the right string, baby, but the wrong yo-yo.” If only Beatrix were there to coordinate.

Oh My Cat! This storyline was terrific. I was on the edge of my chair as I read the last three days through today!

Which way will the plot turn? Will the boys (2 of them, anyhow) think the Evil Vacuum is immortal? Will the Worried Vacuum Mom mistakenly attack Pucky? Will Puck have to Sacrifice All defending the baby dustbuster from his misguided partners?

Stay tuned (I know I’m at the edge of my seat)!
