I’ve been watching ER reruns. Blood clots play a surprisingly large role in complications and deaths there. Usually so the hot doctors can save the patients or the new hot interns can lose a patient and be humbled that they don’t know everything.
So you wind up on blood thinners, which is a real bummer. You can’t take any NSAIDs, or any other medication that can act as a blood thinner. If you are on coumadin, there are massive dietary restrictions as well.
So… this can happen to adults in their thirties? I was under the impression that this was an affliction of older folks. I’m guessing it’s more likely to happen to people who aren’t quite as careful with diet & exercise?

am I mistaken or did it move from the left to the right leg?

The soles of my feet used to turn bright red occasionally, never when I was able to get to a doctor. Then it stopped.

Ouch! This situation looks really painful.
I hope you had it cured somehow, Greg. Though, since you’re drawing a comic about it now, somehow I’m guessing you did …
