I had an aunt who would always tell others “you’re looking so good” no matter what the circumstances, even if you were lying on your deathbed in the hospital. I think she meant well!
I have had people tell me that, too. I am 75 years old. They told me that I looked well when I felt terrible. I am a disabled Vietnam Veteran in poor health.

Instead of “how are you doing?”, I ask me friends, “are you regular today?”
