I retired about five months ago. My entire life is on one endless downtime. It’s not all it’s cracked up to be. The lack of accomplishments gets depressing. But getting off my keister is uninteresting, too. In a way I understand where Jane is coming from and in a way I don’t.
I think Jane might enjoy talking with her new friend. He is definitely intelligent, well-read and his shirt suggests a Filipino ethnic heritage. Those shorts are cotton and well-starched; they’re proper dress for a multitude of Occasions. My correspondent on this site (Kate) has seen these shirts during her Air Force service (BTW, Thanks, Kate, for that service.).
