Ahem …

There once was a lady from Frogland …

Wainscotting….wainscotting…

Oop! Sorry, I was miles away!

Clearly then, the measure of speed in Froglandia is furlongs per fortnight.

It isn’t that Teresa’s turtles (yes, we remember them!) are slow, but because they are continually distracted by the motions of lame mice.

For my poems oh so lame,

which bring me no fame,

not even for a time ever so brief,

I receive only scorn and grief.

I miss Teresa’s turtles, too!

Rhyme time!

Free verse, to a good home.

Dogs are better than people.

Dilly, dooly squat…poems and self talk…

Would this have worked better if Grace the face had delivered it?

The front window display must be cleaned then wiped down so that humans can see the turtles as they approach the store..

I’m losing my mind.

A piece at a time,

A lonely beach devours a turtles track, full moon on it’s back.

Daffy Duck is out of luck,

Froglandia forever, on the never never.

The secret is to not play the cartoon music in your head so loud.

A fortnight in Froglandia does not feel as long as a day in Sacramento.

What rhymes with orangutan?

“Comics Poetry” is a whole new and exciting genre that will require more than a week to examine, describe, and critique (I myself still use the Higher Criticism paradigm). Your turtle surely (Shirley?) wouldn’t mind at least a fortnight of rigorous exagmination?

It’s amazing what dogs can detect through their sense of smell.

So the neighbor’s dog is digging in your imaginary garden and disturbing the real toads who live there?
