Methinks Andy follows not the Manchester United football team (like I follow the Seattle Sounders instead of Portland Trailblazers).

Andy will travel anywhere for a pound and a free drink. But what ales him might score him a stout gaol. For which he would be bitter about and be foaming mad. But Andy is a draft sort of person. And like football, Andy bounces around a lot till he all tapped out.

I think the English Premier League wrapped up its season yesterday, so this strip is a bit late.

Any team Andy backs is bound to be relegated.

As a lifelong United fan, I remember some of the biggest grudge matches were between City ( Manchester City ) and United ( Manchester United ).

Sort of like the Boston Red Sox and the New York Yankees or the Chicago Cubs vrs, the Chicago White Sox.

Of course, if you were a Red Devil, you also loathed Chelsea and Arsenal with a fervor equal to that of your hatred for Man City.

I’m a Newcastle United supporter. Rafa is probably the best manager they have ever had. Apart from Sir Bobby Robson (R.I.P)

I don’t care much for any other sports like cricket or tennis. Football is the best.

I’m not really big on sports, but I do enjoy rooting for local teams. (By local, I mean teams in my state.) Sort of a hometown pride thing.

Chalkie should belly up to the bar, order a nice pint and drink it down right in front of Andy, that old moocher.
