How about the spackle grackle that chews away the grout around my dryer vent so as to get in and build a nest. Happens every year and every year I plug my leaf blower in at the dryer end and send a hurricane up the pipe. Works for about a week then repeat. I just have to get used to my deck looking like somebody blew up a mattress.
And then there’s the woodpecker who is banging away at the telephone pole across the street. As soon as the sun comes up – which is danged early in April and May.

I like hearing the crack o’dawn warbler. It proves I made it through another night.
