Wow, it’s been awhile (some habits die hard)

Tank, m’man, if you tried that with Redrum the Attack Chihuahua, you would be very sorry.

Will someone please explain this one? I didn’t think that I was that sports challenged, but I guess I am.

When the strip first started, and he was fresh out of the NFL, he would react to any dropped item as if it were a fumbled ball during a play. On the topic of early days, how long has it been since he announced the “nort spews?”

So who’s the woman that is apparently with Tank? I don’t recall seeing her before.

Man, you gotta give credit to the coach who trained him. Impressive.

Tank, there were other ways to make sure the dog doesn’t run away!

Old habits die hard. Even to this day, if I suddenly hear a loud truck backfire, my instinct is to drop and roll. ( I’m sure my fellow vets know what I’m talking about. )

Tank started out as a defensive lineman, but in recent years he’s always been portrayed as a former offensive lineman—more of the “gentle giant” kind of character. (In one old episode, a writer asked Tank why he played football, expecting something philosophical. Tank replied: “I got to hurt people, and it was legal.”)

Typical stupid little dog owner, dog off lease, not trained to stay, sooner or later the dog will get hit by a car or killed when it attacks a larger dog. Oh, but Poofy couldn’t hurt a flea!

I love these callbacks, nice to know some things never change.
