There could be a silver lining. The engine crashes and Doc brown rebuilds it as his new time machine.

Oh, and word to the wise, don’t call Sisyphus Sissy for short…….He’s touchy about that…

I’ve often wondered…why did Sisyphus try and get the boulder up the hill in one piece? Why not break it down into rubble….haul the rubble up the hill and re-asemble it? I mean…It’s never specified that he has to roll it up the hill intact, eh? Just thinking outside the box.

It’s not a coincidence that if you say “Sisyphus” over and over again it sounds like a train.

All right, Sys. Just let go and let boulder and Engine roll. The boulder is going to go back down anyway – so sez Zeus, by Jove!

Sisyphus and “man stranded on a tiny island with one coconut tree” cartoons are sure well represented!

Being the eternal optimist, I would see it as rolling the boulder DOWNHILL. Piece o’ cake! A child could do it. Now, just help me roll it back up the hill and we’ll suffer this “punishment” all over again. Snicker….

To see what happened when Sisyphus gave up, go to Fitchburg, Massachusetts, The Rollstone Boulder.

One of my favorite “Mash-Ups” was on MadTV – Gump Fiction:

“Now, maybe it’s just me, but I believe we’re going to have to get medieval on your butt-ocks….”

Considering just How Long he’s been rolling that boulder up the hill, either the Boulder or the Hill ought to have Worn Away to nothing by now.
