Simple revert back to the original hold up 2 fingers in a “peace” sign it used to mean Pluck you based on the 2 fingers archers used to draw an arrow. enemy archers that were captured tended to have those fingers removed so they could not draw a bow thus the sign showed they still had there fingers intact. over time the gesture in America at least as the British still use 2 fingers became one. The Pl in Pluck changed over time to an F.

I’ve seen a few 4-handed cartoon characters use the ring finger instead of the missing middle finger, like for example, that banned Dexter’s Laboratory episode “Rude Removal”. I’ve never seen the episode itself, but its title card proves my point. Btw, the wise ass looks like Danny Donkey, and that’s what Danny is too!
